Biography

Abstract painting became a hobby of mine in 1992 when I began to express my imagination and emotions with oil on canvas. The great painter, Pablo Picasso, was one of my inspirations.

But my interest in painting started many years before in school, where my teacher taught me to appreciate art. He supported me tremendously and helped expand my creativity with pencil, charcoal, watercolors and ink.

My mother, an artist in her own right, inspired me further with her passionate work in many mediums.

When I took my first real art class in 2005, my work evolved from a self-taught, earlier style of pure experimentation to a more mature and confident form of abstraction.

Many ask me what my paintings are about. My answer: the choice of colors and shapes convey most truthfully my feelings, my emotions and my outlook on life.
